Lorraine Auton
Norfolk Wildlife Artist
Lorraine Auton
I am a Norfolk artist, specialising in studies of nature and wildlife, painting mostly with acrylics.
Since moving to the Norfolk Broads, I have found inspiration in the unique natural environment of the area.
I try to capture the realistic form and movement of the wildlife I observe and I aim to portray atmosphere, often in nocturnal scenes, in my work.
I also enjoy using a vibrant colour palette and experimenting with paint on different and unusual surfaces.
Although I am still doing some workshops, I am currently too busy to take on private art tuition at the moment.

The Wall Street Journal
Lorraine features as part of an article published in May 2021 about the beauty of the Norfolk Broads and why people, particularly artists, are drawn to the region.
The article was written by Ruth Bloomfield.
